To mark the first Health Workforce Well-Being Day of Awareness, the UVA Compassionate Care Initiative, UVA Medical Center Hour, and the Dr. Lorna Breen Heroes’ Foundation will hold an exclusive premiere screening of a conversation between U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy and UVA Associate Professor and Director of the Compassionate Care Initiative Dr. Lili Powell. All medical and nursing students, as well as UVA Health team members, are invited to attend.

Be the first to react to and discuss "Healing Healthcare,” a conversation that focuses on the national imperative to ensure well-being and mental health for all who work in healthcare. Featured will be questions from a few of UVA’s own nursing and medical students related to Dr. Murthy’s “Addressing Health Worker Burnout” advisory.  Audience discussion follows. 

The event will kick-off with an introduction of the inaugural Health Workforce Well-Being Day of Awareness by Corey Feist, CEO of Dr. Lorna Breen Heroes’ Foundation.

Accredited continuing education provided by University of Virginia School of Medicine and School of Nursing.  Lunch will be provided for the first 100 participants to arrive.

Medical Center Hour is free of charge and open to the public.
