What's Love Got to do with Bioethical Reflection?

Saturday, March 2, 2024
3pm EST (Webinar)

The International Association of Catholic Bioethics (IACB) Colloquium, co-sponsored by the Pellegrino Center for Clinical Bioethics at Georgetown University Medical Center is hosting the 11th bi-annual colloquium. We're excited to share the key takeaways from our stimulating first webinar, "What's Love Got to Do with Bioethical Reflection?"

The discussion sparked by Dr. Daniel Sulmasy and Dr. Anne Dalle Ave highlighted the complex relationship between love, ethics, and bioethics. We delved into the essence of love as a verb, a practice, and not just a concept. We explored how love is transformative, liberates us from biases, and shapes our ethical concerns.

Our next 90-minute virtual session will be this Saturday, March 2, 2024 starting at 3pm EST discussing Love and Moral Insight with presenters Xavier Symons and Ann Sirek, and response by Claudia Ruiz Sotomayor.
